Planned Furnishings was started in 1977 by brothers Scoot and Vince Gallagher, with the idea
of bringing quality name brand furniture to North Central Florida at discounted North Carolina
prices. The brothers were the first Floridians to introduce 40% to 50% discount furniture pricing
from their then small catalog store in Gainesville, Florida. Over the years the business has
grown into a multi-million dollar venture with the addition of discounted name brand
carperting and hardwood flooring to complement the dozens of furniture lines already available.


The current location, though still largerly a catalog operation, is located in a 4500 square foot
building at 527 W. University Avenue, Gainesvill, FL. We offer many name brand furniture lines
and most major hardwood flooring lines along with Shaw Carpeting, the largest in the world, all
at huge discounts.

Thirty years later Planned Furnishings continues to provide huge discounts and quality
customer service and welcomes it's second generation with son Evan Gallagher taking on
